It's hard to believe, but last Friday's post was the 100th post! So, as celebration of this milestone, I figured I'd use this post for a look back. This might also be a good post if you haven't been with us for this whole journey and want to know what you missed, but also have a life and don't want to spend all day going through the archives. I'll try to just pull the best posts... but feel free to explore more on your own.
The House
We started off in April of last year with the purchase of our house. And oh what a process that was. We closed two different times before finally getting possession. What a mess. And then the real work began! Right off the bat we tackled a pretty big project - replacing the wooden beam over the two-bay garage door. Luckily that all went well, thanks to a lot of help from Leslie's dad. From there we started in on more typical home improvement projects - painting, adding light fixtures, replacing fans, decorating. You know, the stuff women have about 17,000 posts for on Pinterest.
The Pets
We're a little obsessed with our pets. Ok, maybe a lot obsessed. But how can we not be? They're pretty awesome and are a big part of our lives. We had Ellie before this blog started, but the past 100 posts have seen us add Frank and Leo to the family, as well as Bernard for a short time. We love them all very much and hope you don't mind seeing them all over the blog - they're just too cute not to share.
And About Us
This 101st post finds us nearly to our two year anniversary mark and loving life. We're both still working for the companies we were with when this blog started. Leslie and I still like Avon a lot and are glad that we moved out here. And I think it's actually official now - we're the lamest twentysomethings around. We have steady jobs, a house in the 'burbs, and spend all evening at home with our pets. But, you know what... I think I like it that way. Not to say that we don't have some wild times occasionally, but I do like our quiet little life.
Here and There
We've also been up to a few other things. Lots of weddings... some exciting recipes... and I've even read a few books!
And I think that's about it for this little recap. I hope this look back was fun for you (because it definitely was for me... I loved going back and looking at some of these pictures!). And if not, well that's too bad. But good news! We want to keep this blog going strong for at least another 100 posts, so hopefully there are at least a few upcoming things that everyone will enjoy.
Thanks again for keeping up with us and we'll be back on Tuesday!
