Seems like we've been having lots of exciting weekends lately. Not that I'm complaining, because that just means we're having lots of fun. And I like fun.
It started off a few weekends ago with tailgating at Purdue. We hung out, ate and drank, and didn't bother going to the game. It worked well last year and worked well this year too. It's always fun to see old friends and visit the alma mater.
Then this last weekend was especially full. Friday evening we met our book club at the Studio Movie Grill for a little dinner and movie outing. We had read Gone Girl as a group and decided it would be fun to check out the film too. Unfortunately I didn't like the movie as much as I'd hoped, but it was still a good time.
Saturday marked a big milestone for us this year - our last wedding of 2014 (at least as far as I know). That's right, this was wedding number ten for the year! We traveled up to Mishawaka to see one of our college friends tie the knot. It was an outdoor wedding and the weather wasn't the best, but that didn't stop the ceremony and didn't stop us from having a good time. Some of our other college friends were there too, so we had a good time catching up, enjoying the pickle bar (yep, they had a pickle bar and it was awesome), and tearing up the dance floor.
And lastly, I was able to spend this past Sunday with some coworkers at the Colts game. One of our vendors had a suite and invited six of us to join them for some tailgating and the game. I'd never had suite tickets before, so this was a cool new experience. We also got to go down on the field for a few minutes during the third quarter. It was a great day of football and food, all for free. I love my job.
We've really had a few great weekends and are glad we were able to do these things to finish off the summer. Hopefully autumn is packed with lots more fun weekends involving bonfires, camping, and holiday parties. But in the meantime, thanks for reading and we'll be back on Friday!
