Leslie has been wanting to get something to store all our sheet music in for a long time. Not that the Rubbermaid tub we've had sitting in our living room for the last year and a half isn't great... but its days were numbered from the beginning. And now we've laid it to rest.
It was hard to find just the right piece of furniture. What works well for music? Not a bookcase. Not a magazine rack. Maybe a pirate treasure chest. So what did we go with? Leslie found the perfect thing - a shoe cabinet, oddly enough. It's perfect for the application though. There are plenty of shelves, it's big enough to hold all our music, and looks nice too. It was on sale on Overstock, plus Leslie had a coupon, so we went ahead and got it. It arrived on Monday, and now it's all put together and organized.
We also had a few picture we wanted to hang in the area to go with the music theme. This part of the room is looking so much more complete now that this is all done. Plus there isn't a blue plastic bin sitting around anymore.
